Heather MacPherson
Bringing more than 18 years of management experience from the Retail and Entertainment industries, Heather couples her business acumen with an Honours degree in Economics from Queen’s University and has recently completed the CGA (Certified General Account) program. Heather was admitted into membership in November 2012 and with the continued spirit of the higher learning experience, she is considering her next education foray.
Heather has traveled extensively across the US and Canada, and now resides with her husband and young daughter in Mississauga ON.
Adam Strimaitis
Adam Strimaitis joined George Media in 2010, after taking his own fledgling
start-up Promotional Advertising company and expanding operations to an
impressive portfolio of 12 sales offices across Canada. A natural
entrepreneur, his driven, single minded focus and exceptional skill-set have
propelled Adam to become a consummate leader with demonstrated excellences
in Direct Sales, Marketing and Management. His experience has also enabled
him to capitalize on opportunities in corporate training and public
speaking, directed at improving and motivating Sales / Management teams.
He champions the Canadian Operations Team, and directs his daily efforts at
maximizing results in Sales & Research. Adam continues to option
opportunities to increase the footprint of George Media, and will spearhead
the expansion of such in 2013.
Milos Bulatovic
Milos brings a wealth of sales expertise and more than 10 years of industry experience, primarily in the Business Intelligence and Promotions sector. The longest tenured employee of George Media, his rapid acceleration in the organization has culminated in Milos leading a team of ten dedicated Research Directors and providing a pivotal role in connecting client
relationships with an ongoing trajectory of increased success in sales.
Milos is a dedicated husband and father of two young daughters, an avid
marathon runner and extremely prideful of his civic involvement, including volunteer roles with the Big Brothers Big Sister of Peel.
Angus Gillespie
Angus joined George Media equipped with a wealth of diversified media and corporate communications expertise in a career that has spanned the print, broadcast and new media online sectors. He's responsible for overseeing the content development of each of George Media's international business publications. He was the founding editor-in-chief of a national sports magazine and editor and co-publisher of a successful Ontario business magazine, which included a multimedia division for corporate website development and web database hosting.
Prior to that he was VP communications and managing editor with two hi-tech multimedia news and information organizations in Toronto serving major markets throughout North America and supervising a newsroom of writers and reporters, customer service reps and a creative team. Broadcasting of full motion video news and advertising was delivered via satellite and broadband Internet. Angus also has had considerable experience working in radio and has dabbled in television. He was a news director for seven years and also the morning show on-air anchor and co-host.
Additionally, Angus has been a contributing writer/editor for several books, magazines, newspapers, and audio services; PA announcing; live play-by-play broadcasts; writing and reporting for The Canadian Press, Reuters, online media and emceeing for corporate and community events. He remains active playing many sports, including hockey in the winter and soccer in the summer.
Naveed Yusuf
Along with 12 years of industry experience, Naveed undergraduate studies were at the City University of New York in the area of Computer Science and Accounting. Naveed's post graduate studies were in Business Information Systems and Quantitative Analysis at The New York Institute of Technology.
Simon E Curran
It is this drive and commercial awareness which Simon brought to George Media in April 2009. As Vice President for the EMEA & APAC regions, and Publisher of The International Resource Journal, Simon has been the driving force behind the success and growth of George Media's UK operations and global reach.
When not focussing on business, he enjoys being an active member of his local rugby team and had a distinguished career playing for Otago (NZ) and London Irish rugby teams - it is this determination and competiveness that makes him a real asset to George Media.
Michael Alexander-Jones
George Media now employs 50 fulltime staff, produces 5 business publications, conducts business across 6 continents and attracts a combined monthly audience of 1.5 million who access the publications online.
Supported by a talented and trusted management team, Michael oversees George’s daily operations and plays a leading role in the company’s current and future strategies.
Prior to opening the doors of George Media, Michael had worked for over a decade for a number of publishing companies - starting off in advertising sales and rounding-off his apprenticeship by taking on instrumental roles in launching start-up publishing companies and new business titles across Canada, the UK and the US.
